HIS BACKGROUND:

Dr. Harrington has an Associate of Arts (AA) degree from Columbia Basin College (CBC) in Pasco, Washington. While his purpose was to complete a General Studies degree, his concentration was on Business and Communication.

Given his aptitude and advanced skills, Dr. Harrington was appointed Program Coordinator for CBC's Student Government. In this role, he supervised a staff of four team members and managed the student program budget. While a student at CBC, Dr. Harrington served as President of the Speech and Debate Team and played Intramural Football and Basketball.

Eventually, he attended the University of Alaska-Anchorage (UAA) in Anchorage, Alaska, as a student in the Justice Program with an emphasis in Criminal Investigation. Dr. Harrington excelled and earned a 4.0 GPA in UAA's Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Training Program. Soon after, he became a licensed EMT in Alaska; he was Certified Nationally, and eventually became licensed in Washington State.

As a volunteer EMT, he helped at a multitude of special events and worked briefly with a Medical Doctor (MD) specializing in Cardiology. Dr. Harrington also served as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor and Instructor-Trainer for a regional hospital (Trios Health) in Kennewick, Washington. While there, he taught the American Heart Association's First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) courses for over six years (2000 - 2006). He also served for two additional years providing community-focused health education courses where non-healthcare providers became BLS-certified.

Dr. Harrington continued his education and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the Washington State University (WSU) campus in Richland, Washington. His degree was in Social Sciences, with a concentration in Criminal Justice, Management, and Psychology. This academic training, combined with solid business acumen, equipped him with the ability to develop his investigative research and consulting firm in 2001.

This was also when Dr. Harrington sought to expand and improve his skills by earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the City University of Seattle via the satellite campus in Richland, Washington. His MBA concentration was in Project Management and Strategic Planning. He completed the three-year program in 18 months, earning a 3.54 GPA.

Dr. Harrington took a five-year break before beginning his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Psychology from Walden University. He completed their five-year program in less than three years, earning a 3.94 GPA, Dr. Harrington's specific emphasis on the Psychology of Health and Investigative Research.

It is with these acquired skills and adaptive experiences that Dr. Harrington approaches every aspect of conducting competent, thorough investigations. While the outcome or result of a legal matter can never be guaranteed, Dr. Harrington pledges to work fervently in acquiring what you need, hoping to secure the best outcome possible.

"I have had the continuing opportunity and pleasure of working with Dr. Harrington on newly charged and appellate cases in Thurston County, Washington. In each of those cases, Dr. Harrington proved himself as a standout investigator not only in his continuing desire to excel in his efforts but in his willingness to develop a better understanding of the law and how his investigation will therefore, be impacted.

Dr. Harrington works collaboratively with me and excels as he skillfully devises investigative strategies, goals and outcomes and in his ability to synthesize case facts and critically analyze issues leading to on-point field research and analysis. When given the opportunity to thoroughly examine a legal problem, Dr. Harrington consumes it with a relish for getting to the heart of the issues and devising creative results.

Dr. Harrington is a man of high moral character and integrity. He is a tireless worker who continually strives to improve in his profession."

Corey Evan Parker, Attorney

The Appellate Law Firm in Los Angeles, CA (425) 221-2195

"Shane is by far the best investigator I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. On numerous occasions, he has strategically conducted witness interviews that uncovered favorable evidence for my client. He has also successfully tracked down witnesses or evidence I was seeking on many occasions. He even tracked down a former juror at her home and she agreed to sign a declaration related to a case that was over 11 years old.

Shane is always extremely responsive. My emails and texts are returned immediately whenever I reach out to him. He is always professional and pleasant to work with. He keeps me updated on his progress regularly and has an emphasis on getting results. As someone who has worked with a number of investigators over the years, there is no one more easy to work with, more thorough, more prompt, and more results driven than Shane. I highly recommend him for any investigative assignment."

Preston White, Attorney

Law Office of Preston White, P.S. in Olympia, WA (360) 556-9825

"Shane Harrington provides a valuable investigative resource. Dr. Harrington is a skilled, thorough investigator, with keen intuition, and a firm grasp of both the psychology, and the practice of investigation. His efforts have been a real momentum changer in improving outcomes of trial, plea negotiations, and in some cases, have led to dismissals of charges. He tailors his services to meet the needs of clients, and attorneys, and does so in a way that is cost effective, and provides significant added value.”

Shelley Ajax, Attorney

Ajax Law Firm in Kennewick, WA (509) 783-3330

"As an attorney with both a Superior Court and Homicide contract, I have the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging cases that come through the criminal docket. Shane is the investigator I trust to assist me on the majority of my cases. He works efficiently and is effective in acquiring what I need, asking the difficult questions, when required. He can handle virtually any interview or assigned task and does so with integrity. Of all the investigators I have dealt with throughout the years, I know that I will receive a fair and impartial report on any interviews he does outside my presence. That is the most important factor that I look for in an investigator.”

“Shane is someone that I would trust to do what it takes on any case that is assigned to him. He is able to remain focused and deliver what is needed at the time it is needed. This is extremely important in our line of work. He has consistently met every deadline given to him, even if it means that he works late evenings and weekends. He is dependable, dedicated and committed to any task he is assigned. I would recommend him without reservation.”
